Creativity Unleashed

Wow, I haven’t blogged in a long time. There hasn’t been a lot, but at the same time, so much has happened. I’m not sure where to start.

I guess I can start by showing off all the goodies I’ve made. They are mostly desserts, although I did make focaccia bread one night and tamales with Keren weeks ago. FYI tamales are so much work. It's really labor of love.

Now here are all the sweets. One of the interns, Holley, loves Nutella and was born in April, so I bought 4000 calories of Nutella to make her dessert. Here they are:

And then I had leftover Nutella, so I made bread that was unfortunately spent too long in the oven.

And then Sarah (another intern) had a birthday three days later, so I made her Mille Crepe Cake. It has 25 layers. Yes I made 25 crepes just for her.

 This was my Easter bake. It's Blueberry Buckle, which is basically coffeecake with blueberry and streusel on top. It's called a buckle because the blueberries and the crumble on top causes the cake to buckle after it has been baked.

I feel like I've also shown pictures of homemade poptarts. After all, it's my third time making these this year, and I don't even like pop tarts. But I packaged them nicely, so here are a couple of pictures.
